I have been running my own blog for over a year specialising the area of information security. My Blog is called Security Watch and I try to provide insight, advice and guidance to my readers on topical issues or on items that I am interested in.

My blog was finalist in this years best business blog category for the Irish Blog Awards and selected as Blog of the Week by The Irish Times http://taggingtech.typepad.com/blog/2007/10/blog-of-the-wee.html

I am interested in looking for opportunities to contribute to other blogs that would be of a similar nature or aimed at the strategic management of IT.

Apart from writing for my own Blog I also publish my own monthly newsletter www.bhconsulting.ie/newsletter.htm, I am the European Editor for the SANS NewsBites http://www.sans.org/newsletters/newsbites/.

I have also been published in various journals; Article on incident response published in the magazine for the Computer Society of India - reached over 30,000 professionals in India.

Had an article published in an Irish IT journal on the ISO 27001 Information Security Standard http://www.knowledgeireland.ie/

I was also published in the ISSA Journal for an article on how to handle malware in the enterprise. Running Your Own Business magazine, which is aimed at Irish SME owners, published two articles, one on email security and the other on how SME owners can check their systems are safe.

I am regularly interviewed and quoted in the press on information security items and have addressed many conferences and seminars.
