Photography Writers, Editors Wanted
We got this one from Picture My Camera’s Kelby Carr:
PictureMyCamera is currently hiring PictureMyCamera editors for a variety of topics of interest to phographers and enthusiasts. Official PictureMyCamera editors receive a 50-50 share of Adsense revenue like all PictureMyCamera writers do, but they also get some great fringe benefits such as a free banner ad in the sitewide rotation and access to demo items to review.
What Editors Get
* A 50-50 share of Google Adsense impressions on their article pages
* A 50-50 split of direct ad sales revenue in their entire topic section (once we launch direct ad sales, which is expected once there is a decent amount of content posted), even for articles written by others
* If the editor herself refers an advertiser to her section, she gets 75 percent of direct ad sales for that ad in her section.
* 100 percent of affiliate revenue through text linking in article body (for example, linking the title of a book you mention in an article to Amazon and getting commission if someone buys it)
* 100 percent of revenue through affiliate banner ads displayed in their section
* Extra exposure for their profile and articles with a link and photo on the main topic page. What Are PictureMyCamera Requirements
The requirements for an editor are simply to post one article weekly on your PictureMyCamera topic. You can also post articles on other topics as well, so long as your one weekly article on your main topic is completed. A typical article is between 300 and 500 words, and provides tips and your unique photography experience and insight. It’s as simple as that.
You will also be responsible for editing (just for typos, style, formatting and grammatical errors) any articles submitted by writers in your section. These articles will first get a read, and then you will get informed when it’s time to do a second read. Each individual section does not often have submissions, and if you are getting a lot that is probably good anyway (as these are more chances for your ads to get seen and you to get revenue).
How to Apply
While some topics (such as Professional Photography) require a pro’s guidance, you do not have to be a professional. Photography enthusiasts and camera junkies are also welcome to apply. To see a list of current openings and to apply, see the PictureMyCamera Editor application at http://tinyurl.com/picturemycamera . Thanks!
