How Big Can You Think?

Job Responsibilities:
This influencer marketing role focuses on Yahoo!’s social search initiatives to grow positive word-of-mouth among leading online video, tagging, expert (Y! Answers), and ratings/reviews contributors. This role encompasses the following areas:
1)Provide written communications/ offer counsel /serve as point of contact for BU re: influencer marketing
a.Work with all stakeholders: product, biz dev., engineering, marketing, & PR to integrate influencer marketing strategically into BU
b.Deliver product development insights from influential users leveraging customer care, product blogs, and influencer contacts.

2)Identify influencers, build relationships, create conversations and dialogs, network with influencers, and serve as centralized point of contact for active user-influencers
a. Build user advocacy of key social search products through a direct relationship with influencers - engage them in dialogue, develop and distribute WOM tools, and track success
b. Select and sponsor key events where influencers aggregate and create presentation materials for Y! participants

3)Oversee monitoring and reporting of related discussions and views of the competitive landscape in blogosphere

4)Direct development of blog posts for ysearchblog.com
The only thing I’d hone is section 2 and makes it more specific to 1) building user advocacy through a direct relationship 2) mining product development insights from the industry’s most active and vocal users.

Minimum Job Qualifications
* Extreme familiarity with online social networking, pod casts, the blogosphere, and the general online environment - use of web 2.0 tools in marketing.
* Excellent writing and interpersonal communication skills
* Ability to multitask and self-manage in a fun, fast-paced, environment.
* Demonstrated ability to provide creative and strategic direction for word-of-mouth campaigns (5+ years proven track record of creating and implementing viral, buzz, influencer and grassroots ambassador marketing programs)
* Able to be a voice for innovation and growth within the company
* Superb project management skills. Must be able to manage multiple programs and concurrent deadlines with excellent attention to details
* Experience in tracking, monitoring and measuring influencer marketing programs and/or loyalty programs
* Can drive site marketing, branding, positioning, partner marketing, and participation in external events and trade shows
* Able to collaborate with Product Management to maximize member engagement and content generation.
