Shiny Media is looking for an editorial assistant for one of its flagship technology titles, Shiny Shiny. The site gets over 400,000 uniques per month, and is aimed at women who like all things gadgety. Applicants must have an interest in technology, as well as knowledge of the online publishing world. Experience using an Content Management System such as Moveable Type is an advantage, as well as being comfortable with Photoshop or equivalent. This is an ideal role for someone looking to get into the world of journalism, within a really exciting and dynamic new media publishing company.

A large part of Shiny Media is our videos, so it’s essential that the you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Previous experience in this isn’t neccessary, just a willingness to give it a try. The role will also involve writing up stories, attending press events and trips, as well as dealing with the day-to-day loans programme for the tech sites. You’ll be working from our central London offices in Covent Garden, with a group of young, talented bloggers and writers.

Applicants should be educated to degree level. A journalism qualification is highly desirable.
